Basketball Federation of Nizhny Novgorod Region

Nizhny Novgorod Basketball Federation was organized in February 2019 supported by Russian Basketball Federation. It helped the regional sports ministry to give a license to Nizhny Novgorod Basketball Federation, which now lets it to carry on its activities in the region.
Most of the classic basketball and 3×3 basketball tournaments in Nizhny Novgorod and region are organized under the auspices of Nizhny Novgorod Basketball Federation, including district competitions and age-related teams from all the region which are playing under the patronage of Nizhny Novgorod Basketball Federation.

Generation-NN

In spring 2015, basketball club Nizhny Novgorod made the new youth project Generation-NN. Within framework of the project, it was made the 2005-born and younger children`s tournament. In 2015-2016 the tournament was expanded and included 8 teams. The project became wider in 2016-2017 and included more than 20 teams in two age divisions. The project Generation-NN engaged in retraining coaches and organizing training camps.

NN GIRLS

12 flamboyant and fiery girls from “NN-Girls” project always support basketball players during the matches. The team was formed in 2011 and now it’s one of the best cheerleading groups in VTB United League. In 2017 the team participated in “Efes Euroleague Dance Challenge” and qualified in Top-6 all the cheerleading groups in Euroleague. In 2014 NN-Girls were in semi-final of this Challenge. The art-director – Karina Ramazanova is a world-class athlete in rhythmic gymnastics, Europe champion and multiple medalist of Russian championships. Generation Sport School

The basketball school “Generation” is a unique training format for school children of the Nizhny Novgorod region, making the kids fall in love with basketball. The mission of the school is making basketball classes exciting and accessible for everyone with the help of certified coaches. The project is interested in organizing leisure time for children outside of school. The basketball school “Generation” works with the support of the basketball club Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod basketball federation.
